On June 4, 2026, Chen Jing, Director and General Manager of the Supply Chain Center, along with Hu Qian, Deputy Chief Scientist and Director of the R&D Center, led a delegation to the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Shenzhen University for a focused exchange. Professor Liu Guangliang and his research group, including five postdoctoral researchers, warmly welcomed the visit. The two sides engaged in an in-depth discussion on technical collaboration in the fields of high-performance composite materials and advanced adhesives.

During the meeting, both sides presented their respective development progress and research foundations. KY New Materials highlighted its technological accumulation in material industrialization, market applications, and advanced adhesive technologies, while Professor Liu Guangliang’s team showcased their latest achievements in molecular design and interfacial behavior studies of composite materials.

Both sides agreed that China currently faces severe challenges due to foreign technology monopolies in the fields of high-performance composite materials and advanced adhesives. To address this, they plan to systematically establish a foundational scientific understanding framework—from molecular structure design and synthesis mechanisms to interfacial behavior and macroscopic performance—and develop forward-design capabilities. This effort aims to break long-standing technological barriers, achieve self-reliance and controllability of critical materials, and foster world-class competitive material technologies and products.

This exchange has established a strong industry-academia-research communication platform between KY New Materials and the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Shenzhen University. Both parties will accelerate the implementation of collaborative initiatives to jointly drive China’s new materials industry toward high-end and independent development.
